Just got back from a preview of The September Issue at the Paley Center for Media in Manhattan. It was AMAZING! You MUST, I repeat: MUST  see the film when it hits theaters in your city (either August 28 for Manhattan or September 11 for everyone else.) It was such a brilliant look into the industry and had a surprise shining star of the film: Grace Coddington.

Grace Coddington (Vogue creative director), Andre Leon Talley (Vogue editor-at-large), director R.J. Cutler and cinematographer Bob Richmond were on hand to discuss the film and take questions from the audience.

It’s official: I completely adore Grace Coddington and like Anna, I would do ANYTHING to work under her. She is a total genius and incredibly talented.

Stay tuned for my review of The September Issue, which will appear next week on The Fashion List!

One Response to “THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE.”

Yes, one of the major players who gave the movie substance and heart was Grace Coddington, the creative director. A forty-year veteran of the magazine industry, she’s Anna Wintour’s contemporary, and one of the few people shown doing anything but agreeing wholeheartedly with Anna. She has Anna’s ear, up to a point. But she also has her own aesthetic for the magazine. —Read the full review at—
