that’s why her hair is so big, its full of secrets.
everyone is buzzing that french vogue editor carine roitfeld will be replacing anna wintour come january at american vogue. people have been talking for a while that anna would be retiring soon, since she has been at the magazine now for 20 years. it would be quite strange to see a vogue masthead without anna wintour sitting at the top.
but it would also be interesting to see what carine would change with vogue in the states. we dont have as much “artistic freedom” as they do in fabulous fashionable france. i cannot imagine she would have as much fun…. take these for example:
exhibit a: fairly provocative fashion spread in paris vogue from jun/july 08.
exhibit b: fashion spread, american vogue july 2008. don’t get me wrong i love agnes (and america) but where is the excitement?
i would love to see something more artistic, fresh and well french in our fashion bible at home, but i have a hard time seeing it being accepted and happening here. i guess we will be able to put these rumors to rest come january….
